2,013 Days

You’re probably wondering what the significance of the title of my blog means. Well, I’ll tell you and it’s going to be a good one. It took me 2013 days from the first book published until I got a meeting with a bookstore to hold my books in their store. It equates to 5 years, 6 months and 4 days to be exact. 

It took me moving across the country (2,700 miles away from home) to achieve something I’ve been working for, for over 5 years. The opportunities didn’t come for me in my own hometown and state. It took a journey across the country to Arizona for everything to start looking up and changing for me.

The journey has been long but very fulfilling. There’s a lot of work that went into getting that one meeting with a store owner. It took a social media post by the store owner for me to share my content. From there, we built a relationship, I met with him at his store and now we’re building something big. 

What I want everyone to know is, hard work pays off, there’s no overnight success and if you are consistent with what you’re doing, the results will show down the road. For 2,013 days, I dedicated my time, patience, energy and effort to my craft and did the work through discipline, drive, determination and dedication. 

For some people, it will take longer than what it took for me but I will always tell you, keep going. You will see light at the end of the tunnel. That’s my blog, be good everyone and go accomplish your goals!
