Moping or Motivated?

There’s nothing worse than moping about and thinking the world is against you all of the time. I bet you know someone in your life who is. Or could you be someone who is moping about life at the current moment and trying to figure it out. I don’t know but I’m going to delve into this from experience.

 

I’m guilty of being someone who moped around and didn’t have any sense of purpose or direction at times in my life. I felt that nothing was working my way and I didn’t understand or know why. The reality was, I was in a negative mindset and constantly complaining about life and that wasn’t a good thing. I needed to change my perspective on life and focus on the things that are important. 

 

Another example of this was a family member in my life. There were phone calls where there was constant complaining about people and they weren’t holding their own and doing their part. Meanwhile, they didn’t take the time to look in the mirror at themselves and realize that it was their choices and decisions that led to them being where they are. 

 

After a while, a person’s energy can rub on you and they bring you down energetically. We don’t realize how much people can affect us and also how we think and process everything in our minds. We don’t take the time to think about how moping around isn’t helping to solve our problems or propel us to where we are trying to get to. 

 

Now, in regards to being motivated, we’re not always going to be motivated. Some days it’ll be there and some days it won’t. But being motivated to change your life and your circumstances is huge in finding happiness within you. It’s getting to the root cause of what you’re feeling, going through and experiencing to get to where we want to be. 

 

Getting motivated and knowing what steps you need to take to change your life is great. Sometimes having a life coach will help you, a therapist, someone to confide in that you trust to help you get out of the rut you’re in. 

 

Everyday, it’s finding something to be thankful for, it’s learning about yourself more, it’s finding your sense of purpose and direction you want to go. One step at a time, one day at a time.
